Instructions for the Beamline Proposals

The individual beamline proposals should contain the following parts:

A first page with the title of beamline project, name and affiliation of the spokesperson and a short abstract (1p)

Scientific motivation (3p)

Beamline characteristics, general beamline layout and technical solutions. The main emphasis of this section is beamline performance and project feasibility (2-3p)

A collection of summaries of proposed research projects and information about the research groups involved (1/3 p for each project)

Description of the main constellation(s) involved in the beamline project, This section should also contain information about project steering or advisory groups, etc, if applicable (1p)

Budget, staffing and time plan (1p)

For the KAW proposal the beamline plans will be collected at MAX-lab. The projects should be written in word (.doc), font Arial, size 10. Figures and tables should be attached separately. It should be clearly marked where they should be integrated in the text.
