Dear User,
Last year has been very successful for the Swedish National Synchrotron Laboratory MAX. The new ring MAX II operates excellently with very long lifetime (~ 4 Ah). At BL 711 over 60 new users have started activity in the laboratory. All the new users are particularly welcome to the User Meeting and to join the user organisation. Also the spectroscopy beamlines, can report the first results. We are looking forward to another interesting Annual Meeting at the laboratory.

Conference fee
The conference fee is SEK 400 and will be paid in connection to the conference.MAX-lab vill sponsor the participation of 30 students at a level of SEK 2000.

If you plan to participate, please return the registration form so that it is received not later than September 10, 1998. You are kindly asked to arrange for your accommodation yourself. A dinner will be arranged in the evening of September 24. You have to preregister for the dinner using the enclosed registration form.Further information is available
