Beamline I411 |
The soft X-ray beamline I411 [1] at Maxlab, Lund, Sweden has been operational since Jan. 1999. This beamline was previously located at MAX I where it was called BL51 [2]. Now it has been modified and relocated to third generation 1.56GeV storage ring MAX II where it uses high brilliance undulator photon source. The usable photon energy range in this beamline is from 50 to 1500 eV and photons are monochromatized by a Zeiss SX-700 plane grating monochromator. The end station [3] on the beamline is equipped with angle resolvable high resolution Scienta SES-200 hemispherical electron analyzer. Independently from the end station there is also so called "one meter part" which is for users own experiments. Studies can be done in this beamline with gas phase atoms, molecules, metal vapours, liquids and thin films using photo electron spectroscopy (XPS), near edge X-ray absorption spectroscopy (NEXAFS), Resonant Raman Auger spectroscopy, Time of Flight ion mass spectroscopy, ion-electron and electron-electron coincidense spectroscopies.
