COURSES
IN ACCELERATOR PHYSICS
|
|
Accelerators
can be found everywhere in the world around us. From the TV-set we watch
at night, via accelerators for medical treatments to gigantic installations
for science. The science and technology around accelerating particles is
focused into the subject of accelerator physics.
We, accelerator physicists, study how to accelerate
particles, how they behave during acceleration, what electric and magnetic
fields do the accelerators require, what happens when the intensity of
particles increases and many other aspects of particle acceleration. |
