Recirculator

 

The task of the recirculator is to pass the electrons back to the entrance of the first linac to allow for a second acceleration. It thus consists of two 180 degree bends and a straight section. It is tuned to control chromaticity and the path length to a high precision.

The 180 degree magnets are made out of two solid iron plates in which the magnets are machined out and the coils slid in.
