Welcome to Accelerator Physics!

The Department for Accelerator Physics at Lund University is placed at the National Synchrotron radiation Laboratory MAX-lab.

The main research interest lies in the operation and development of the storage rings at MAX-lab. The design of low emittance lattices, higher harmonic cavities, superconducting multipole wigglers as well as unconventional machine designs have been key areas for the activities. The current research lies mainly in the design of the proposed MAX IV facility.

The group is also active in short pulse and Free Electron Laser development.
