Welcome to the MAX IV Laboratory
The MAX IV Laboratory is a national laboratory operated jointly by the Swedish Research Council and Lund University.
The laboratory supports three distinct research areas: Accelerator physics,
research based on the use of synchrotron radiation and nuclear physics using
energetic electrons.

Colour of 50 Million Years Old Animal Revealed
New research at MAX-lab shows that the pigments in extinct animals can be maintained for over 50 million years. The pigment molecules of a fossil fish exhibit much consistency with the corresponding colour in modern animals.

Registration for UM2012 Opened

Swedish-Danish Meeting at
MAX IV Construction Site
The Swedish Minister of Education and Research, Jan Björklund, and his Danish colleague Morten Østergaard met Tuesday 27 March for a guided tour of the MAX IV construction site. Members of the Danish parliament as well as Swedish and Danish researchers participated in the meeting.
